Pink color in the sky; End of the world or alien invasion?

A phenomenon occurred earlier this month in the skies near Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA.
The sky was suddenly filled with green after Storm Derek. At first, local residents who didn't realize what was happening took to social media to worry that they were walking through an episode of Netflix's 'Stranger Things'.
A similar scene happened yesterday in Australia. If the sky was green in America, the sky in Australia was pink. Over the Victorian town of Mildura, Australia, an incredible shade of pink. Locals shared on social media that they suspected they were part of Netflix's 'Stranger Things'. Those who saw the light were afraid of alien attacks or the end of the world.
Mildura is a small town in Australia.
Locals saw the unusual light when they were about to go to bed at night after a very ordinary day. The locals were panicked when they saw the light. Some talked about the end of the world and others talked about the Netflix series 'Stranger Things'. However, no one understood the reason for that pink color.
Some even believed that they were attacked by aliens.
As the pink light lit up the sky, local resident Tammy Zumowski wondered if the apocalypse had arrived. "I was a calm mother. I told the children who were scared: 'There's nothing to worry about. But in my head I kept asking, 'What is it?' She told the media.

'Was it an alien invasion? Or an asteroid?'.She added that she suspected that, When my father came to know what was happening, he went to that area. Then I wanted to drink tea. What if the world ends? 'What's the point of having tea if it's the end of the world? was her mother's question and she described the state of mind at that time to the BBC.

But local resident Nikia Champion says she thought it was a bright red moon. "All the doomsday scenarios went through my head," Nikia told the BBC. Finally worried about that pink color. It was the light from a cannabis farm in the city. Medical cannabis was legalized in Australia in 2016. But recreational use of the drug is prohibited.

Reddish lights were used during the cannabis harvest. Such lights were specially used at dusk. That pink light was the light for cannabis growers Can Pharmaceutical Co. in the city of Mildura, during their commercial harvest the other day. Kahn Pharmaceuticals produced its first crop in June.

The company recently acquired a new license to manufacture Satipharm capsules using medicinal cannabis. Commercial cannabis grow lights are measured in photosynthetic photon flux density. In some cases it can reach up to 2000 PPFD. According to a light manufacturer, a PPFD of 2000 is 'like the sun's PPFD on a cloudless day,' writes the Daily Mail. However, local residents said they were relieved to realize that the pink color was man-made.
