Redmi 9 Active launches in India; Price and features

Redmi has introduced a new smartphone to their entry-level smartphone segment.

Redmi 9 Active is a smartphone launched in India. 

The new Redmi 9A series smartphone was expected to be launched in the country along with the Redmi 9A sports smartphone but the Redmi 9A Sports has not been launched. 

The main features of this device are Helio G35 SOC, 6.5 inch HD + display and dual rear camera setup.

Redmi 9 Active: Price

The Redmi 9 Active smartphone is available today in two different storage configurations. 

The base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at Rs 9,499. 

The high end Redmi 9 Active smartphone with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage option is priced at Rs 10,999. 

The device is sure to be highly competitive in the Rs 10,000 price segment.

Redmi 9 Active: Sales

The Redmi 9 Active smartphone will go on sale in India from September 24. 

The device will go on sale through online and offline stores across the country. 

Sales of this device are done through Amazon and through Shawmi's official website. 

The smartphone will be available in Carbon Black, Coral Green, Sporty Orange and Sky Blue. 

The sale also offers attractive discounts on Amazon and MI.com.

Redmi 9 Active: Features

The Redmi 9 Active is powered by an octa-core Helio G35 SOC. 

The device comes with this entry level 4G MediaTek processor with 4GB / 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. 

The device also comes with an external microSD card slot for those who do not have enough storage. 

This smartphone runs on Android 11 based MIUI 12 OS.

6.5 inch HD + display

The Redmi 9 Active comes with a 6.5-inch HD + display. 

This display is one of the most common at the entry level. 

It has a display with 720 x 1600 pixels and 60 Hz refresh rate. 

The display of this device has a waterdrop notch and a thick bezel profile. 

The rear of the Redmi 9 Active comes with a dual camera setup. 

This rectangular camera module has a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor.

The Redmi 9 Active comes with a 5MP camera for selfies and video calling. 

A physical fingerprint scanner is also provided on the rear panel for security.

This device does not have fast charging. 

The device has a standard 10W charging.
