The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday on a study by Facebook that Instagram causes depression and suicide in teens.
A shocking finding in a study of teens, but Facebook ignored it.
32% of girls are prejudiced about their beauty.
Instagram usage made it worse and pushed me into depression.
The Journal reports that 13 percent of British users and 9 percent of American users are suicidal, according to a study by Facebook.
But Facebook has come up with a response to the incident.
Facebook has said that everything in the Wall Street Journal's articles, which contain serious allegations against them, is 'pure lies'.
Despite being aware of the many issues across the platforms, Facebook has denied reports that they have done anything about it.
Nick Clegg, Facebook's vice president of global affairs, said they were misrepresenting what they were doing.
At the same time, he pointed out that Wall Street Journal articles did not present a complete picture of the most difficult issues we face as a company: "Content moderation and the spread of misinformation about the vaccine, algorithm distribution and the well-being of teenagers."
However, Instagram said in a statement that it was with the findings of the report.
The company said in a statement that the study was conducted to identify and address issues faced by teenagers and that social media affects many people in different ways.
Social media can be good for some people some day.
Sometimes worse.
The company added that how people use social media and what the mood is when they use it is all important.
